Learn To Sing Sutton's Singing Lessons.p

I offer individual, private tuition in all aspects of singing, with lessons tailored to each individual’s personal requirements and areas for development.

Students will learn how to:

  • Develop and strengthen every aspect of their singing technique

  • Sing with good style and phrasing

  • Maximise all elements of their performance

  • Develop auditioning skills

  • Take good care of their voices, and promote good vocal health

Developing new vocal skills is an integral part of being a singer. I believe there is always room to improve and develop your performance and craft. My personal belief is to always be a personable and approachable teacher. To create a safe and comfortable environment for all students to learn in. I hold an Enhanced DBS check (formally known as CRB) and hold a level 2 in Safeguarding Young People. I strive to go above and beyond to help students to develop and reach their goals, no matter their abilities. I’m happy to put students through grades or to teach without doing any exams; everyone is different and has different requirements from their lessons.

I firmly believe that a huge part of singing is about confidence and good technique. Concentrating on teaching singers the correct breathing and vocal techniques to maximise their potential in their chosen field of singing. Whether this is singing backing vocals for a rock band, performing in a Musical, working towards a professional career, working through exams, singing in a choir or just simply singing for fun to build confidence. It’s never too late to start singing lessons. Anyone can learn and everyone is welcome no matter their age or ability.

Rockschool Vocal Grades

I am also a registered RSL Vocal Teacher, who teaches the RSL Rockschool Vocal Grades 1-8.  A Rockschool Vocal Grade is a really good way to improve your singing ability, but expand your technical proficiency, grasp of music theory and appreciation of some of the most influential songs from the past five decades. As a student of music, you will improve your chances in auditions and competitions, whilst elevating your ability to write your own songs in the process.

Taking Vocal grades can really help to better structure your learning and development of your voice. Giving you set goals and targets as you progress through the grades and exams. They can also be used a extra curricular and UCAS points for getting into higher education.
